For employers: proportionate pre-employment background research may include identity and credential verification, confirmation of educational qualifications and employment history, and review of relevant references or publicly available information, subject to consent and applicable law.

For landlords: prospective-tenant screening may include identity and information verification, reference checks, and confirmation of details supplied in a rental application, again with appropriate consent.

Open sources can be abundant. The difficult work is finding what matters, checking it, and placing it in context.

Solomon regularly uses OSINT methods to discover, preserve, compare, and assess lawfully available information. A search result is not treated as a conclusion: identity, source quality, timing, alternative explanations, and corroboration all matter.
