Effective date: September 10, 2026
1. Scope and commitment
Solomon Investigative Solutions respects privacy and handles personal information responsibly, discreetly, and in keeping with applicable privacy, private-investigation, and other legal requirements. This policy applies to this website and to initial inquiries made through it. If an investigative engagement begins, the engagement terms and any additional notices provided for that matter may also apply.
2. Information collected
The confidential inquiry form may collect a name, organization, email address, telephone number, preferred contact method, service sought, and the information included in the description of the matter. It also records confirmation that the inquiry is for a lawful purpose.
Limited technical information may be processed to operate and protect the website, such as request time and basic network or request information. To discourage automated abuse, a one-way identifier derived from an internet address may be held briefly for rate limiting. The website does not maintain a separate database of inquiry submissions.
If a prospective client communicates further or retains Solomon Investigative Solutions, additional information may be collected where it is reasonably required and lawfully authorized for the matter.
3. How information is used
Personal information may be used to:
- receive, assess, and respond to an inquiry;
- consider service suitability, lawful purpose, conflicts, timing, and scope;
- communicate about a possible or existing engagement;
- protect the website, prevent misuse, and troubleshoot delivery problems;
- maintain appropriate business and professional records; and
- meet legal, regulatory, licensing, or lawful process requirements.
Information is not sold or rented, and inquiry information is not used for behavioural advertising.
4. Consent and limiting collection
Submitting an inquiry indicates consent to the collection, use, and disclosure reasonably necessary to receive and respond to it. Only information reasonably needed for identified purposes should be provided. Please do not use the initial form to send government identification numbers, financial account details, passwords, or highly sensitive documents.
5. Service providers and processing outside Canada
The website uses service providers for hosting, infrastructure, security, and transactional email delivery. Inquiry information is transmitted by email through Resend and delivered to Solomon Investigative Solutions' business mailbox. These providers process information on behalf of the business for their contracted functions.
Some providers may store or process information outside Newfoundland and Labrador or outside Canada, including in the United States. Information handled in another jurisdiction may be subject to that jurisdiction's laws and lawful access processes.
6. Disclosure
Personal information may be disclosed to service providers supporting the purposes described above; with consent; where required or permitted by law; or where reasonably necessary to protect legal rights, safety, or the integrity of the service. Any further disclosure connected with an investigative engagement will depend on the lawful authority, purpose, and circumstances of that matter.
7. Safeguards
Reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards are used having regard to the sensitivity of the information. Measures include encrypted transmission of the website form, controlled access to the receiving mailbox, input validation, automated-abuse controls, and limiting collection at the inquiry stage. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
8. Retention
The website itself does not keep a separate inquiry database. An inquiry may remain in business email and related records only as long as reasonably necessary to assess or respond to it and to meet applicable legal, regulatory, professional, security, and record-keeping requirements. Information that is no longer required will be securely deleted, destroyed, or anonymized, subject to lawful retention obligations. Service providers may retain operational or delivery records according to their own contractual and legal requirements.
9. Cookies and tracking
This website does not currently use advertising cookies or analytics trackers. Hosting and security providers may process basic request and device information needed to deliver, secure, and maintain the site.
10. Access, correction, and withdrawal of consent
Subject to applicable legal exceptions, a person may ask about personal information held about them, request access or correction, or withdraw consent for future use where consent is the applicable basis. Withdrawal will not affect processing already lawfully completed and may limit the ability to respond or provide services.
11. Questions and privacy requests
Questions, concerns, and requests concerning this policy or the handling of personal information may be sent to info@solomoninvestigations.ca. Please do not include unnecessary sensitive information in the initial email.
If a privacy concern is not resolved, information about making a complaint is available from the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
12. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated as practices, service providers, or legal requirements change. The effective date above will identify the current version.
